"Really?" Cece blinked but was soon nodding excitedly. "Yes. I would love the help." She grinned widely at Jesse's offer. "There's so much to do and I don't know where to start and it's kind of overwhelming." She picked up her teacup again and refilled it. "I got some of my herbs potted, but between that and organizing shelves..." She shook her head. "It would be nice to have an extra set of hands."

Jesse gave a very rare full smile to Cece "Great! I know a little about planting, so hopefully I can help with that too." the smile faded, as it always did whenever it appeared. She finished her tea and stood up and stretched. She couldn't sit for long periods of time, simply because it made her feel lazy. "After we are done with that, I will give you a preview of what I might be doing tonight....unless the owner changes it." she rubbed her sword, and looked around again taking in the items laying around to try and think of how they could set things up. Of course most of the arrangement would be up to Cece, but Jesse liked to do things with a general idea planned out in her head first.

She was a little amused at how Jesse seemed to be taking control of the situation, but it was probably for the best. The sooner the shop was set up, the better. "Sure, that sounds like a plan." She set the cups aside and rose as well. Setting her hands on her hips, she surveyed what she had done so far.
"Well, let's see. I've got most of the planting done for now. I have to collect more cuttings before I can make more pots. But the main things to get set up are the containers and shelves. She gestured to the sides of the tent. "I could use some help making the shelves line up along the walls so people walk past them when they come in. Then I think there should be a corner where I can have samples set up..." She ran a hand over her face, thinking. "And I want to put up a partition so that I can keep the extra herbs and supplies in the back of the tent..."
Maybe this was going to be taking advantage of Jesse's offered help, which wasn't what Cece intended.

Jesse nodded as Cece listed off how she wanted things set up, and looked better at the inside of the tent at the mention of a partition. It looked like they might need material for that part, but that could come later. For now she walked to the back and then measured out a decent distance for the storage space, and using her foot drew a line in the dirt. She had organized the tent that her and her brother....and now that fleabag....were sleeping in. She wasn't very confident with her decorating skills, but what she had done worked for them....but what she was doing now might not work for Cece. She looked up to the other woman, seeming to ask with only expression if the amount of space for the back part was all right.

Cece watched what Jesse was doing curiously, but it only took her a moment to clue in. When Jesse checked with her for approval she nodded then pointed to the shelves.
"Let's try getting these lined up. Then we can set up the containers." She explained. Being shorter and slight, this had been the most daunting task for Cece, but if Jesse was going to help it wasn't going to take long.
It probably took them a little time to get the shelves organized but once they were, with one also placed in the back for the storage space, the two women were able to take a breather and start placing out jars and canisters. It also meant they could resume a proper conversation. Cece was unpacking one of the boxes when she piped up once more.
"So, Jesse.... Can I ask you why you joined Le Cirque?"

Jesse paused for a moment, wondering again how much to tell. Shrugging she once again chose the truth, continuing her work as she spoke. "Our father gave us the recommendation....we have no where to live since our grandfather passed and our father....well lets just say we can't live with him." she paused again to wipe her brow then continued "It seemed like a good idea, since I can use a sword and James has his jokes and likes to juggle. That and father said he may meet us here one day, so I suppose that is a reason to stay." finally finished with her shelves she again examined the part where they needed more material. She could make a nice partition without a lot of cloth.... "Do you want a full or partial parting?"

Their dad? That had her curiosity, but Cece kind of figured she had pried enough.
"Yeah, I suppose you need to be where he can find you again." she said in quiet agreement before coming over to look at the chosen partition location with Jesse. "I suppose a partial one is alright. I can always make it bigger later if I need to."

Jesse nodded, thinking that matching the colors would be best...but she would get different colors just in case. "All right, I'll be back in a bit. Maybe we can have more tea...or something else to drink once the partition is up? Working so much has made me thirsty, and I'm sure you are too." she went out of the tent and went to hers near the back, she had cloth left over from what they had been allowed to use the day before. She carried what she could, plus her sowing materials, back to the tea tent, placing it somewhere it couldn't get dirty. There was cloth that was red from making their tent, and there was green that matched the tea tent, and a few other colors mixed in that Jesse had used for the inside. "Just choose what you like and I can put it together pretty quickly." she smiled again "Sorry there's not much i had to make a rather big partition for our tent."

While Jesse was gone, Cece had started another batch of tea. The was no fire, since she didn't need one, but she made sure that the kettle was hidden away before Jesse came back. There was a jug of water and the tea was steeping upon Jesse's return and Cece was huddled over her herb pots. When Jesse spoke up, Cece was whipping around again and stepping away from the indoor garden. She walked over and looked over the fabrics.
"Maybe I should make a rainbow partition." she commented, running her fingers over the red fabric. "There's tea if you want it, and some water. I can look over these and pick something."

Jesse narrowed her lips, holding back an impulsive laugh. Rainbow colors! She went to the tea to hide the amused look on her face, and as she drank she thought of how that would work. It could look good...if you arranged the colors in the right way. She shivered and put a hand over her mouth, still trying not to laugh at the first impression of that suggestion. It was Cece's tent, and if she wanted the rainbow, Jesse would make it work...but Jesse still couldn't help but think of it as a funny idea.

Cece glanced back when she didn't get an answer from Jesse right away and so saw her trying to hold back her laughter. She grinned widely.
"Maybe that IS the way to go." she teased, pulling out some of the fabrics that could go with the red. "A little red, yellow, blue..." She was still kidding. Her tent was bright enough without the green, but it was fun to make Jesse laugh. "Ooo, PINK! Do we have some pink?"

Jesse couldn't help it any longer, it was the pink that did it. She spurted a little since there was tea in her mouth, then a laugh burst forth. "Pink! No there isn't any pink." she said while laughing. "That would complete the full image of a rainbow though I'm sure!!" she was laughing harder than she had in a long time. If anyone happened to pass by, they would probably wonder what was going on. She went on for a few more moments before dying down to giggles. She normally didn't laugh often, because she had been told her laugh sounded like James'. Well...and also because she hadn't really had a reason to laugh growing up....besides when James got her to with his silly antics. "I'm sorry." she said wiping her eye "I shouldn't laugh at a idea you have for your tent."

Cece had turned away from the fabrics when Jesse started laughing and had begun chuckling herself. It was nice to hear the other woman laughing.
"Oh don't worry about that. It is kind of a silly idea, isn't it?" She asked with a grin before coming over to join Jesse for tea again. "I think I'll stick to the matching green. I'll get the rainbow in some other way. Maybe some flowers..." she trailed off thoughtfully as she poured herself some more tea. Flowers would be easy, she could have this room filed in a day, maybe less. Of course, that had to be after she got her herbs growing.

Jesse nodded, not trusting herself to speak. She drank thinking about how much cloth it would take. After finishing that cup she started sowing the pieces of green together, to the point where no one would be able to tell it wasn't from the same bolt. She did this until there was enough for a 'curtain' type of partition. Then drank more tea, then got up and sowed the partition to the tent. It didn't take her very long, her fingers moved fast, the needle seeming to never prick her. Once she was completely done she stood in front of it with a smile of accomplishment. She loved to sow, almost as much as she liked to practice her sword swings.

Cece first watched wide eyed as Jesse worked quickly with the partition. Cece could sow, but Jesse was so much quicker at it. She didn't know how to help, since Jesse seemed to know what she was doing so while Jesse was sewing the partition to the tent, Cece returned to her pots.
The elf was doing so much for her, Cece was starting to feel like she needed more than just tea for a thank you. She frowned as she looked over her miniature garden of dirt. Maybe a plant...? Cece scooted over to a pack she had left sitting by the tea table and rooted around until she found what she was looking for. A cutting of lavender. It was pretty far gone, but that wasn't a problem. While Jesse was still busy, Cece prepared another pot and placed the cutting into it. A dash of water from the water jug, and it was set...Other than the still wilting plant.
Cece brushed her hand over the plant, a shiver running along her spine and down her arm to the hand. She let out a breath. That would fix that. She set it aside and turned back to Jesse.
"Done already? It looks great!"
