Well, thinking about it from a story telling perspective, perhaps it should be something disturbed by Escar's rampage? Maybe he awoke a ghost? Or the loud noises tipped a wendigo of their location?

Maybe a cursed object that was disturbed ?
From Voltaire's or Hope's collection maybe. Either stolen, mishandled or something happened and it was lost in the confusion somehow.
Somebody thought it was just a shiny, pretty but useless thing and brought it with them and accidentally started something.

It could have contained some kind of poltergeists, elementals (ex: Air Elemental), hell, even some kind of pagan god ?

Oh I like that. I do.... The two would hold something like that. Speshily Hope. Do to she has collected a few things over the long years. Even though Dragons are horders lD.

That wouldn't be good if someone got into those kinds of items. They would be for decoration or show 8I

Although, going at it like it's CLUE could be amusing

Ex :
- Escar, running after a butterfly, knocked over an old teapot of Voltaire's that was holding a earth elemental, who was kinda pissed at being in there for so long.

- Crow, looking for Jaculus, found his snake curled in a vase, which broke when he tried to get him out and accidentally dropped it; he scampered away to not be scolded at, but the thing contained a water spirit that loves to pull pranks on mortals.

- Excidium threw a knife angrily at someone, but he obviously missed, and it landed through a book, breaking the spell's bindings. Since Excidium doesn't really sense these things, he just called his knife back and went to fume away somewhere else. The book held trapped spirits who were freed.

Etc... Anything works.

I had Exci go and be an ass and tell them to wake up and smell the coffee about how ''we're all uneasy, but let's not mention it'', to force them to get up and go figure out the cause.

Tayuyaxn has a good point, and good ideas too. We should agree on a cause, or I'm afraid we'd end up with multiple (and perhaps clashing) reasons for the disturbance. So I'm just putting my vote out there that I think everyone should have a clear and agreeing idea of who messed around with what magical object to cause whatever is happening.

On another note, I still think the spark that lights this plot up should be Escar's rampage. I think having it be the initial cause of the elemental/spirit disturbance would be a lot more beneficial to the story, making things tie together better. Leaving the purpose of the destruction of the chase to only be keeping the carnies busy seems like a wasted opportunity. 

Of course, I'll happily go along with whatever everybody agrees on, just wanted to put in my two cents. c:

And It shold be Escares rampage that startid it all. Hell I would be mad too if there was a large sabertooth tiger running amuck in my home area when im trying to sleep. And would be pissed if the ringleader traped me in a teapot, and not properly dealing with it.

Better yet. Earth spirit says "HEY YOU WIPPER SNAPPERS GET OFF MY LAWN!" gets trapped in magic teapot.

This would Make Hope so mad later XD. You do not trap angry spirits in a teapot. Eath spirits do not belong in teapots. They belong in flower pots l3

I love those scenarios Tayu haha. I agree that we should figure out one cause for the uneasiness so we all aren't guessing. I think it would just make all of our responses that much easier, I suppose. C: I'm all for Escar's rampage triggering the spirit, but really I'll go along with any of those prompts~

So, now that it's mostly... decided... I guess, who's going to introduce the plot ?

I mean, since people seem to be all ''go for it'' about the Elemental in the teapot...

I thought maybe Voltaire; since it's his kettle and all. 8P Or the Earth elemental running after Escar for bothering it ?

Yeah, I'd say either Escar (since he's the one that knocked it over in the rabbit chase) or Voltaire, finding it in the wreckage while everybody is cleaning.

When we bring out the elemental, might I suggest that he/she/it messes around with the younger or less experienced carnies first? I figure the elemental would have the most fun with them since they would have less of an idea of what to do. Does that make sense?

Oh! And will the elemental be an open character? Or will we take specific turns? Or will it be assigned to one person? I thought that should be cleared up too.

I guess everyone is really busy lately, since there hasn't been any kind of update (around 20 days without any replies...) ; either that, or people still don't know what to do with the plot.


I think everyone should play the earth elemental; maybe we could start with all the carnies and their individual experience with the elemental first.

Then everyone joins up and tells what strange thing happened to them, then there's the figuring out what it is (some may already have figured it out) and how to take care of it, seal it back into the tea kettle, or well flower pot in the future, or relocation (either the elemental or the whole circus - why not !) because it didn't appreciate whipper snappers on it's turf.
