I'm going to post stories I write about Ocean, as I write them. These will probably mostly be introductions to her character, and backstories about where she came from/her life before the cirque. The one I'm posting now has no name. It also introduces her brother Touran, who I might introduce to the cirque in a while, after Ocean gets settled in.

Oscen stood staring out across the open sky. The soft coolness of the clouds beneath her bare feet and the whisper of the breeze through her hair didn’t bother her at all. It was like the warmth of a loving embrace, in a way; so familiar and calming. And yet... And yet, she wasn’t happy here. It wasn’t that she was unhappy, no, not in the slightest! She just wasn’t content. She knew there was a whole different world somewhere, thousands of leagues beneath her. One that she had never seen, only heard about. Only imagined, dreamed of, all her life.
She closed her eyes, and sighed, breathing in the pure crisp air. A small shiver ran down her spine, starting from the base of her cranium, and fading out somewhere near the 14th vertebrae. She felt the warmth from another body behind her. Turning slightly, her blue-green eyes met her brother’s dark grey ones.
“You need to stop daydreaming like this. You have your chores, your duties. You have been neglecting them.”
Oscen sighed again, a heavier more annoyed one than the last. “So, what? Everyone can manage just fine without me.” She shrugged. “It’s not like He cares where I am right now. I’m just another one of His little minions, one of many cogs in His clockwork machine. And besides, what does it matter to you, what are you doing here anyway?”
“I was sent to find you, Auyn. There is to be a Meeting to be held for prospective Guardians. You are nearing The Age. It is time you began your training.” Touran’s voice was as straight and still as his posture, as sharp as his facial features, though his expression had softened as he looked at the younger angel. Despite their differences, he cared tenderly for Oscen, and knew she did the same for him.
At the mention of Guardianship, Oscen’s annoyance fled, and was replaced with unconstrained excitement. “They’ve sent for me?” She exclaimed, ready to dash off in an instant. “Is it really time?” Touran nodded, and Oscen was off at once, racing the wind towards the Meeting Hall. “Thank you, Brother!” Her voice was the only thing that returned to him.
